Kamale oyo oyo oyo
Kamale oyo oyo oyo
Kamale oyokisi ngai soni

Na miso nde ya bambanda na nga' nayebi nyoso

Nazangi ata liloba mpona loba oh la mbanda
O bambanda vraiment bamoneli ngai eh
Kamale, this Kamale
Kamale, this Kamale
Kamale, you embarassed me before (in the eyes of) my rivals, I knew it all
I even lacked the words before my rivals
 indeed my rivals saw this

(Pepe Kalle: Kamalamale ye)
Kamalamale o mama Kamalamale
(Napesi yo loboko)
Kamalamale o mama Kamalamale
(Otali ngai pamba
)
Kamalamale o mama Kamalamale
(Oyokisi ngai soni
)

(I gave you my hand/I greeted you)
(you only gazed at me)
(you made me feel shame)

Kamale ozwaki nga' na maboko ya mamelo
Mpo mengo awa na mokili

Tolanda na malembe

Kolinga moto mpe na mokili eh zala na mayele

Nasali nyoso mpo tozala o

Kamale you took me with religious hands
for wealth on the planet
we have to follow with caution (slowly)
to love someone in this world you must be wise
I did all I could to sustain us/our relationship

(Kamalele)
Napesi yo longonya

Kasi longwolanga loboko na litama o papa
(Napesi yo longonya)
Kasi longwolanga loboko na litama o papa
(Souci esali yo di ye
)
Kasi longwolanga loboko na litama o papa

(O Kamale Kamale)
Kamalamale O Mama Kamalamale
(Kamale mwana mama)
Kamalamale O Mama Kamalamale

I honored you

But take away my sorrow papa
(literal: Take my hand away from my cheek)
(I honored you)
But take away my sorrow papa
(worries did you in, friend)
But take away my sorrow papa

(talking: Kamale chou naboti yo bana mama. Okeyi...likambo te)

(Kamale sweetie, I had your children and you left me...it's okay/no problem)

Kamale tosali nayo connaissance

Kamale toboti nayo bana

Kamale lelo toboyani ye

Somo esimbi na motema o

O bolingo esilaki te na motema

O bolingo esilaki te na motema

Obombali nga' makambo

Obombi nga' makambo
Kasi longwolanga loboko nalitama o papa
Kamale, we got to know each other
Kamale, we had children together
Kamale, today we avoid each other
I hold fear in my heart
Oh the love in my heart doesn't end
You pulled away (literal: you pulled away your body)
(You pulled away)Oh the love in my heart does not end
you hid things from me
(You hid things from me)
but take away my sorrow papa

(O Kamale Kamale)

Kamalamale O Mama Kamalamale
(Kamale mwana mama)

Kamalamale O Mama Kamalamale

(Repeat talking)

Kamale tosali nayo connaissance
Kamale toboti nayo bana
Kamale lelo toboyani ye
Somo esimbi na motema o

O bolingo esilaki te na motema
Obendi nzoto
(Obendi nzoto)
O bolingo esilaki te na motema

obombeli nga' makambo
(obombi ngo' makambo)
O bolingo esilaki te na motema
Obendi nzoto
(Obendi nzoto)
O bolingo esilaki te na motema
Obombeli nga' makambo

Tabu Ley Rochereau & African Fiesta - Omanga - Lyrics - Paroles

Balola elongi namona
seka mino pembe emonana
tambola moke ngai natala
zonga pembeni mpo tosolola
ngai nayoka nzoto mpo nailing yo
turn your head so I can see
laugh, show your white teeth
walk a little so I can watch
come back closer so we can talk
I feel in my body I love you (?)

 Lelo na pokwa yo tobima
lata kitoko ngai nalula
bakanga yo pe suki ya maboko
nzelanzela tango tokobima
kotala moto te, noki nakufa na zua ehh
let's go out this afternoon
wear something pretty I can admire
let them braid your hair

when we go out in the street
don't look at anyone else or I will quickly die of jealousy

Cherie Omanga tozonga ndako osolola ngai moke ndenge nini okola
Omanga leki Omehonga yebisa yasolo soki yo olingi ngai
Cherie Omanga let's go back to the house and talk about how you grew up/your childhood
Omanga younger sister to Omehonga, let me know if you love me for real

Balola elongi namona
pusana pembeni natala yo
Omanga naye zoba mpo nalingi yo (2x)

turn your head so I can see
come closer so I look at you
Omanga I have become stupid because I love you (2x)

Fungola ndako ngai nakota
  fanda nakiti mpo tosolola
benga ba temoins bamona biso
pesa masanga mpo bamela
Omanga naye zoba mpo nalingi yo
open your house so I can enter
sit on the couch so we can talk
call witness so they can see us
give them beer to drink
Omanga I have become stupid because I love you

Benga baboti mpo tolobana
nameka nzoto mwana mobali
soki pe mbongo nakoluka
bipayi binso nakopanza sango
Omanga bakomi komoni ngai nde liboma
call your parents to tell them
let's try to have a son
if I need money I will look for it
I will spread the news everywhere
Omanga they're starting to see me as crazy

** (?) = uncertainty in meaning. please leave a comment if you have the proper meaning. thank you!

CONGOLESE LYRICS ARCHIVE...

Welcome to my new blog Congo Kin Lyrics. My aim here is simple; to create an archive of lyrics and translations to Congolese songs so that more people can enjoy the incredible meanings they have to offer. Story telling is an intrinsic part of Congolese music. Although the instrumentation in Congolese music has always been top notch, allowing people from all over the world to enjoy it, one thing I find is nothing beats knowing what your favorite song means and admiring the poetic nature of your favorite singers and song writers.

Congolese Rumba is sung mainly in Lingala. Some artists also mix in other local languages such as Kikongo and Tshiluba. Using these languages, full of poetry and wonder, Congolese artists create stories of love lost and gained, life and just plain old fun. I want to bring all of this to life for whoever is interested and happens to stumble upon this site.

I implore all Lingala speakers who come across this site to make corrections and add on lyrics. I want to make this the biggest and best archive for Congolese Lyrics on the internet. Together as fans of Congolese Rumba, Soukous, Ndombolo, etc we can make that happen!!

Peace and Blessings, Ms. Bazu
